BetSwifty shows bookmaker and exchange prices. It has no accounts, takes no payments, and asks for no personal details — there is nowhere on this site to enter your name, your email address or your card. This page explains the little that is stored anyway, and how to change what you allow.

Who is responsible

The controller for this site is Swift Ideas Ltd. If you have a question about anything here, write to hello@swiftideas.com.

Your cookie choice

Loading your current choice…

Nothing owned by Google loads until you accept. If you decline, or simply never answer, no Google script is requested and no Google cookie is created.

Cookies

NameWhat it doesSet byKept for
bsw_gateProves you entered the site password, so the value terminal does not ask again on every page. It holds a signed proof, never the password itself.BetSwifty30 days
_gaLets Google Analytics tell one browser from another. Only after you accept.GoogleUp to 2 years
_ga_EBPHX3W2H5Keeps Google Analytics session state. Only after you accept.GoogleUp to 2 years

bsw_gate is strictly necessary and has no consent banner, because without it the password gate cannot work at all. The two Google cookies are optional and are the only thing the banner is asking about.

Settings kept on your device

These are stored in your browser's local storage. They are your own settings, they never leave your device, and they are not sent to us or to anyone else.

KeyWhat it remembers
bs.consentYour cookie choice, so the banner asks once rather than every visit
bs.filtersThe filters you set on the board
bs.deckWhether the filter panel is open or shut
bs.booksWhether bookmakers show as logos or as names
bs.hiddenWhich bookmakers you have switched off in Settings
bs.oddsWhether prices show as decimals or as fractions
bs.raceviewWhether the races view draws a grid or a list
bs.legendWhether the legend is expanded
bs.slipThe selections in your bet slip

Clearing your browser's site data removes all of them, including your cookie choice — after which the banner will ask again.

What the analytics measure

If you accept, Google Analytics records events describing how the site is used:

What they never contain

These are excluded deliberately, in the one module where every event is defined, rather than left to each place an event is sent:

Because entry is one shared password rather than an account, these records describe browsers, not people. We cannot tell one subscriber from another, and no report built on this data can.

Measurement that runs without cookies

Vercel, who host this site, count page views and measure loading speed for every visitor. This runs whatever you choose in the banner, because it sets no cookie and creates no identifier that could follow you to another site. It is what makes the visitor count honest: an audience figure drawn only from people who agreed to be counted is shaped by how the banner was worded.

Who else receives data

Some of these process data outside the United Kingdom. Each publishes the safeguards it applies: Google, Vercel and Supabase. We do not sell data, and we do not use any of it for advertising.

Why we are allowed to do this

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may ask for a copy of your personal data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to hello@swiftideas.com.

In practice there is very little to give you: without accounts we hold no name, email or identifier for you, so we usually cannot connect any stored record to the person asking. If you want the Google Analytics record for your own browser removed, say so and include the date and rough time of your visit.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.

Analytics cookies tell us which parts of the board get used. Nothing loads unless you accept, and no runner, search or price you look at is ever sent. How we handle data
